For more than 21 years, Fowey Cottages has managed a curated portfolio of holiday homes across the harbour town of Fowey, ranging from waterside apartments with sweeping estuary views to peaceful countryside retreats. As the collection continued to grow, the team needed a website that could keep pace — one that showcased their properties beautifully while making the browsing and booking experience far more intuitive for guests.

We introduced a refreshed design approach and built a new WordPress website using Elementor, giving the brand a clean, contemporary feel. Property pages were redesigned to highlight photography, amenities and location details in a clearer, more engaging way. A key development was the bespoke filter system created for the cottage listings. This not only helps guests quickly narrow down stays by features such as dog-friendly, sea views or family-ready but also makes it significantly easier for the team to add new properties as the portfolio expands, keeping the site organised and consistent with minimal effort. To help users better understand the area, we also introduced branded digital interactive maps, giving guests a visual sense of where each cottage sits in relation to Fowey’s harbour, beaches, walks and local attractions

The website integrates seamlessly with Bookalet to provide a smooth booking journey, and includes Yhangry chef-booking widgets for guests looking to elevate their stay with private dining experiences. SEO-led improvements were applied across the build to strengthen visibility in searches for holiday cottages in and around Fowey, helping the business attract new audiences while supporting returning guests
