The Cornwall Tourism Awards shine a spotlight on the businesses, experiences, and individuals driving the region’s thriving visitor economy. Each year, entrants from across Cornwall come together to compete for recognition, share best practice, and celebrate innovation within the sector. The team approached us to redesign their website, ensuring it reflected the prestige and professionalism of the awards programme. With a broad audience of entrants, sponsors, industry partners, and ceremony guests, the new platform needed to deliver clarity, accessibility, and a seamless experience for users.

We delivered a fresh new website built using WordPress and Elementor, designed to give the team complete control behind the scenes. A flexible templated design system allows for quick and consistent updates to categories, finalists, judges, sponsors, and key milestones throughout the awards cycle. The site presents information in a clean, intuitive layout that makes it easy for users to navigate and digest. One of the most important elements of the project was the development of a bespoke booking system for sponsors, award finalists, and guests attending the ceremony. This tailored solution enables attendees to secure their place with ease, submit meal choices, and record allergy information. The system significantly streamlines event management for the awards team during one of the busiest stages of the season.

A major focus was placed on ensuring the site remains user friendly from the very first click. Visitors can effortlessly explore essential information, including how to enter, details of sponsorship opportunities, and of course a comprehensive archive of previous winners. The structured and accessible design helps users quickly find what they need, whether they are considering entering, supporting the event, or celebrating the region’s tourism success stories. This website forms part of a wider collaboration with Services 4 Tourism. Alongside the Cornwall Tourism Awards, we have created five further award websites across their network, ensuring consistency, scalability, and shared functionality across the full suite of events.

The result is a modern, intuitive, and beautifully presented platform that supports the continued growth of the Cornwall Tourism Awards and celebrates the outstanding achievements that make the region’s tourism sector truly exceptional.
