Bringing Cornwall’s Great Little City together online.
Visit Truro is the official visitor website for Cornwall’s cathedral city, helping people discover what to do, where to stay, where to eat, what’s on and how to make the most of a visit. The site needed to work equally well for tourists, local people and the businesses it supports.
What we did
A destination website built to handle a lot.
We created a large, content-rich destination website that brings together accommodation, food and drink, shopping, things to do, events, offers and practical visitor information in one place. The structure makes a significant amount of content much easier to explore, while giving the Visit Truro team the flexibility to keep the site current throughout the year.
A major part of the build was the events functionality, with events organised by month and type and the ability for people to submit their own events for inclusion. Accommodation can be explored by type, location and visitor need, while offers, local businesses and useful planning information all have dedicated areas across the site. The result is a website that does far more than promote the city. It acts as a central source of information for visitors and the local community, while giving businesses across Truro greater visibility.
