Ecommerce platforms

Shopify or WooCommerce - built around how you sell.

Both are strong ecommerce platforms, but they suit different businesses. We’ll look at what you sell, how you manage products and orders, what the wider website needs to do and where you want the business to go, before recommending the right route.

Platform choice

Not sure which platform you need?

You do not need to arrive with the answer. We can review what you have now, what is working, what is getting in the way and how you need the site to operate day to day. From there, we’ll recommend Shopify, WooCommerce or another sensible route based on the business rather than the technology.

Frequently asked

Things you may be wondering.

Which ecommerce platform is right for my business?

That depends on how central ecommerce is to the business, how much flexibility you need around the wider website, the way you manage products and orders, and what you expect the store to do in future. Shopify is often a strong fit for dedicated online retail, while WooCommerce can be particularly useful when ecommerce needs to sit closely alongside a broader WordPress website. We will recommend the platform that best fits the job rather than starting with a preferred system.

Can you redesign an existing online shop?

Yes. We can work with an existing Shopify or WooCommerce store, or rebuild a shop that has outgrown another platform. We start by understanding what is already working, where customers are dropping out and what is difficult for your team to manage, then use that to shape the new site.

Can you move products and customers from another platform?

In many cases, yes. The exact migration depends on the platform you are moving from, the quality of the existing data and how products, customers and historic orders are structured. We will scope the migration before the build so you know what can be transferred automatically and what may need a more careful approach.

Will I be able to manage products and orders myself?

Yes. Ease of management is a core part of the build. We want your team to be comfortable adding products, changing prices, managing orders and updating the content they need without having to come back to us for routine changes.

Can you integrate payments, delivery and other systems?

Yes. Most ecommerce projects need more than a product grid and checkout. We can work with payment gateways, shipping tools, subscriptions, email platforms and other integrations where they make sense, and we will keep the setup as simple as the business allows rather than adding technology for the sake of it.

Do you build ecommerce sites with SEO in mind?

Yes. Product and collection structure, page content, technical foundations, redirects and measurement all need to be considered as part of the build. A shop that converts well is of limited value if the right people cannot find it, so search visibility is considered from the start rather than added after launch.

Can you set up ecommerce tracking and reporting?

Yes. We can make sure the important actions are measured properly, including purchases and other useful conversion points. That gives you a clearer view of where sales are coming from and lets future SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads and other activity be judged against commercial results rather than traffic alone.

What happens after the site launches?

We provide training so you know how to use the store and we remain available for support, improvements and future development. Ecommerce sites rarely stand still, so the build needs to give you a platform that can evolve as products, campaigns and the business change.

Client feedback

The website created by Mark at MiHi exceeded my expectations. New to the world of e-commerce, I wanted a site that looked stylish, but could also be easily navigated by the consumer and managed by myself.
