The first tier of local government for a thriving Cornish community.
Probus Parish Council is the first tier of local government for Probus in Cornwall, responsible for services and assets including the play area, cemetery, car park and public toilets, as well as representing residents on local issues and planning. The website is a key source for meetings, councillors, finance, official documents, news and community information.
What we did
Making council information genuinely easy to find.
The brief was to give the council an up-to-date website that residents could navigate quickly and staff could manage without technical knowledge. We built the site in WordPress with Elementor and gave the large volume of council information a much clearer structure. Meetings can be filtered by year and type, with agendas, minutes and supporting documents kept together; there are dedicated areas for councillors, planning, finance, official documents, council services, community information, news and accessibility. It is intentionally practical: information that has to be public is easy to publish, and information residents actually need is easy to find.
