We’re delighted to launch a mobile friendly site for a well-known construction company based in Truro.

Building with Frames, which has featured in Channel 4’s Grand Designs, offers a range of pre-engineered timber and oak frame homes.

The company already had a website it liked; it was nicely designed and often received positive feedback on its look and feel. The only issue was that it wasn’t built for mobile phones or tablet devices.

With changes to Google’s algorithm now in place, it means sites that aren’t mobile compatible won’t rank as well when users search from a mobile or tablet.

Cue MiHi Digital — we helped Building with Frames by updating their site to become mobile friendly.

There were two major elements to this; firstly to make sure the design they already liked would work on mobile.
If you take a look at their site (http://www.buildingwithframes.co.uk/) on your phone, you’ll see each of the boxes now stack neatly on top of each other; no more scrolling to the side or having to zoom in on content.
Not only do you get a great mobile experience, those Google rankings won’t be affected either!

The second element was to add a content management system (WordPress). This means the business is able to update content as and when it needs to; something it wasn’t able to do before.

The result is a site that looks great on mobile and one that can be fully controlled by the client!
