MiHi integrates Instagram into website design
The photo-sharing app Instagram is becoming increasingly popular, with latest statistics showing it now has more than 400 million users.
Instagram was launched in 2010 and purchased by Facebook two years’ later. The app enables its users to take pictures and videos, add a filter if they wish, before uploading it to other social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
The number of photographs uploaded to the site has topped one billion and includes those of our client, Dedleg.
With Instagram ranked the most used photo-sharing site, we’ve recognised the power of the app and amalgamated it with clients’ websites who predominantly use the app as a way of promoting their business.
Last month we launched a new site for international sound recordist Paul Zanders, founder of Dedleg.
The site promotes Paul’s product, Dedleg, and we’ve integrated his Instagram account into the site.
We haven’t just added a link to his Instagram page we’ve incorporated it so images feed directly on to the Dedleg website. As a result, any images Paul posts to Instagram also update to his website simultaneously.
Not only does it mean his website has new content, it saves him time and effort uploading images separately.
