New starter completes the MiHi team

We’re all delighted to introduce our latest team member, Lois Horsham!
Lois, who joins us as a Digital Marketing Executive, grew up in Cornwall and studied Journalism at Falmouth University.
After living in Brighton for a couple of years she made the move back home and went to work for Cornish pasty brand, Ginsters. During her three year stint there she worked in the marketing and communications teams, gaining plenty of experience in promoting a national brand. She is passionate about all aspects of digital marketing and really pleased to be coming onboard.
So Lois, hailing from Cornwall, what is your favourite part of the county?
It would have to be Whitsand Bay on the south coast. The beach is stunning and I spent a lot of time there whilst growing up so I have a real soft spot for it. I hope to one day own one of the chalet’s nearby so I can pretty much live there at the weekend and finally learn to surf properly!
Apart from visiting the beach, what else do you get up to in your free time?
We are nearing the completion of a self-build so a lot of the weekend is taken up by choosing interiors, painting and decorating! It’s really exciting that we are so close to finishing such a huge project.
I also love to go to festivals, find awesome places to eat out and visit friends from all over. I am very creative so I try to squeeze in time to design and make leather handbags which is a longstanding hobby.
What is your favourite food?
Steak and chips – without a doubt. And if there’s peppercorn sauce and onions rings on offer, even better!
What kind of music do you like?
From a very young age I was exposed to pretty much all types of music so I like a real mix. Countless hip-hop artists, Amy Winehouse, David Bowie and the Rolling Stones are all up there but Funk & Soul is a favourite genre. I am a huge Michael Jackson fan and seeing Chic live at Glastonbury this year has to be one of my favourites moments, ever.
Favourite film?
I am a massive film buff so that’s a really difficult question but I would have to say, True Romance – it’s got everything!
If you were stuck on a desert island, what item would you want with you?
Bear Grylls
Instagram, Twitter or Facebook?
Instagram for me – I’m a visual person and I used to be really into photography. I must spend countless hours each week scrolling through my feed.
Finally, describe yourself in three words
Fun, hardworking and creative!
